A modern alternative to the traditional children’s bunk-bed, a cabin bed or mid-sleeper is basically a children’s bed and storage area combined and is designed specifically for small bedrooms where separate furniture items would take up too much valuable floor space.

Traditionally a cabin bed will be made from wood, either pine or mdf – although there are some beds available with a metal construction. The more modern and contemporary mid-sleepers will usually be made from pine or some form of particle board with either a painted or laminated finish.
