Buying Children’s Furniture in the Winter Sales
A few points to consider when buying on-line in the New Year Sales:
- Bear in mind that retailers will often reduce items which are -end-of-line items so supplies will be often low and some items will sell-out very quickly.
- Do not worry about changing your mind. When buying on-line the Distance Selling Regulations state that you have 7 days in which you can change your mind and cancel your order, whether the item was reduced or not. This applies to all retailers although some will already have a no quibble return policy in place.
- Always pay by credit card for high value items as this gives you greater protection should problems occur. We don’t as a rule ever recommend retailers who have a poor record of customer service but sometimes problems can occur regardless. The Consumer Credit Act (section 75) places joint liability with both the retailer and credit card issuer where the purchase was for more than £100.
- We only list discount codes which are valid and don’t ever force you to click a link in order to see a discount code – unfortunately some sites do and often because they are acting fraudulently. If a retailer or one of their affiliates advertises a discount code which does not work the Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations 2008 states that it is unlawful to make false claims or to trade unfairly – a retailer must honour a discount which has been advertised by one of their affiliates whether the site is connected to theirs or not.
